Access control

Overview of access control

Access control is used to define which access readers can be controlled via which access groups. The various access readers are linked to the access groups, with each access reader controlling an electric door strike.

The access reader transmits the read RFID code to an access control terminal (ZK terminal). The ZK terminal decides whether access is granted or not based on the linked access groups. If access is granted, the exit port is activated for a specified period of time (e.g. 5 seconds), which supplies the electric door strike with power.
