Release Notes
Here is an overview of the latest updates from the January 6.2 release.
New features in Management
FS#2190 – New dialogue box for converting overtime and leave
Converting overtime into holiday (and vice versa) has been significantly simplified. Instead of manual adjustments, a dedicated dialogue box is now available to carry out these conversions conveniently and transparently.
The new dialogue box is available via the context menu in the daily and monthly views and can be accessed from there. The context menu is opened by right-clicking on the relevant day in the daily view, or on an employee in the monthly view.

FS#2191 – Flexible booking day for shift work
Particularly with night and shift work, the working day often does not end at 00:00. In addition to the existing logic for overnight aggregation, it is now possible to flexibly define the cut-off point between two booking days. This allows working hours to be adapted even better to operational requirements.

The setting is configured in TimePunch Management in the ‘Settings’ menu under the ‘Internal/Calculation Logic’ section.
FS#2210 – Project reports for project assistants
The project assistant role has been significantly expanded. From now on, employees in this role can also view and analyse project reports without needing to be assigned full project management rights.
FS#2189 – Email notification for automated closure of time entries
From now on, employees and managers can be automatically notified when time entries are closed by the system. This makes forgotten log-offs transparent and allows them to be traced more quickly. The setting is configured in the “Settings” menu under the “Automated Emails” section.

FS#2189 – Preventing bookings during absence
New settings now allow you to control whether employees are permitted to book working hours whilst on leave – for example, during holidays or sick leave. In addition, bookings can be specifically prevented on days that are generally non-working days, such as weekends. This setting can be configured in the “Settings” menu under the “Internal/Booking Restrictions” section.
New features in Cutter
FS#1792 – Define break time slots
There is also an important enhancement regarding mandatory breaks: a specific time slot can now be defined within which employees must take their break.
If a break is booked outside this time slot, this is documented – at the same time, the system automatically reschedules the break within the defined time slot.
